Does composite fencing expand?

Most materials, including composites, will expand to a degree when exposed to heat. This isn't necessarily a problem if the product is designed to accommodate expansion and the fence is installed properly. Trex fence systems are designed to give the material room to move without negatively affecting the integrity of the fence. The interlocking system allows the fence to shrink and expand without causing the boards to separate or warp.
