Is Trex safe for children and pets?

Trex materials are safe for children and pets. As with any product, regular safety practices should be followed. For example, a child or pet is not likely to get sick from chewing on the Trex material any more than chewing on wood or plastic, but since it is not made for consumption, if a child or pet swallows Trex sawdust, consult local medical authorities for appropriate treatment. Touching or being near Trex fencing for extended periods of time does not present a health risk.
