Does Trex fencing scratch easily?

Trex composite material is made of a dense combination of recycled plastic and wood, and so is very durable when compared to both wood and vinyl fencing. Because the the material is dyed throughout, scratches tend to blend in as the fence weathers. In the case where there are gouges in the fence, there are remedies such as lightly staining the affected area or easily replacing the damaged component. Bottom line, while Trex will scuff and scratch, it's durability still outmatches wood and vinyl fencing, and the weathering process helps abrasions to blend in over time - a benefit that other fencing systems can't offer.
